Do I need to install anything?
No — Progrese runs entirely in your web browser, with nothing to install and no sign-up. Just open the page on your computer or phone.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, the interface is fully responsive and adapts to phone, tablet and desktop screens.
Is the MIDI export free even for commercial music?
Yes. Any MIDI file you generate and download is yours to use freely, in personal or commercial music, with no license fees and no attribution required.

Can I export the progression as sheet music?
Yes — the "Sheet music (PDF)" button exports the current progression as standard music notation (treble and bass clef, chord symbols above the staff) into a PDF you can print or send along. Below the notation, each bar also gets a piano key diagram with the keys marked, so it works even if you can't read notes. It reflects any edits made in the Mini DAW too.
Can I hear the progression through my own synth in a DAW, without exporting a MIDI file?
Yes — the "Live to MIDI" panel sends playback in real time to a virtual MIDI port. Set up a virtual port on your computer (loopMIDI is free on Windows; the built-in IAC Driver works on Mac), point an instrument track in your DAW at it with any synth loaded, then enable MIDI access in the app and turn on "Live sending". Works in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox — unfortunately Safari doesn't support the Web MIDI API.
