SYNTHLUCIDA now offers a small daily ritual for reflection: a full 78-card tarot deck, complete with the 22 Major Arcana and the 56 Minor Arcana across Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles. Every visit draws one card truly at random and reveals it upright or reversed, with a short, hand-written meaning for each of the 156 possible outcomes.

The card flips into view with a soft glowing animation, and a 🔀 button lets you draw again any time you'd like a fresh perspective. A built-in guide (tap the i in the corner) explains how to read the draw, in English or Czech, and this is offered purely as a small moment of atmosphere and reflection, not as prediction or advice.

A new 💬 button has appeared next to the slogans at the top of Relax Player — tap it to send a short message (up to 60 characters) to everyone who's listening right now. Your message appears live in place of the next slogan for about 10 seconds, shown to every listener at once, including you.

Other listeners can react to any message with 🔥❤️🙏✨ — there's no way to reply, just quick reactions. To keep things calm, you can only send one message per minute.

Messages aren't tied to any account and aren't stored on your device — they're just shared live with whoever's listening in that moment, then gone.

The SUN scene under WEATHER can now be built around your own photos too. A new ＋ PHOTO button sits right next to WEATHER — tap it to pick one or several images straight from your device, and they join the SUN rotation right after the built-in sunset photos, in the order you added them, fading in and out with the same soft crossfade as the rest of the scene.

Your photos are stored securely on your device and never uploaded anywhere, so they're still there the next time you open the player, and you can keep adding more whenever you like.

The ✨ BRING THE PICTURE TO LIFE tool just grew two new motions: SHAKE gives a marked part a playful jitter, and RAINBOW slowly cycles it through colors. Both sit alongside the existing FLAP, SWAY, SPIN, BOB, PULSE, FADE, DRIFT and TWINKLE.

Text can join in too. A new ✨ ANIMATE TEXT toggle now sits next to the TEXT and EMOJI buttons — turn it on, write a word, and the same motion picker pops up right over it so you can choose how it moves, no need to drag a selection box afterward. The emoji picker has also grown, from 40 up to 70 icons.

Also fixed: the motion picker could get clipped off the top of the canvas and become impossible to tap when marking a part near the top edge. It now automatically flips below the selection whenever there isn't enough room above, so every motion stays reachable. And the redundant BACK TO PLAYER button has been removed from Canvas — the ✕ in the top corner already does the same thing.

SYNTHLUCIDA has quietly grown from a music player into a whole little ecosystem — one built around a single idea: helping you slow down, focus, play, or drift off, all for free, right in your browser. Here's everything currently packed into it, gathered in one place.

🎧 RELAX PLAYER — Three curated playlists (ASMR, PIANO, CHILL) wrapped in 20 animated visual themes, from NEON and AURORA to AMBER and MATRIX. Layer in WEATHER (a warm SUN scene, gentle RAIN, quiet WINTER snow or a windier WINTER II blizzard) and SUNSET/NIGHT skies on top of any theme. Open BREATHE for a full guided breathing session — 4-7-8, Box, Coherent, Calm or Sigh — and set CROSSFADE to 3-10 seconds for silky track transitions. 🕘 HISTORY tracks what you've played, 🎵 MY PLAYLIST lets you heart tracks, reorder them, and export or import your list, while an XP and leveling system quietly rewards daily listening with real MP3 downloads. Upload your own tracks in 📁 MY FILES and mix them into custom playlists, then SAVE your setup, go FULLSCREEN, download playlists for offline listening, or turn on gentle 🔔 REMINDERS to nudge you back for a break.

🧩 SYNTHLUCIDA BLOCKS (Game) — A line-clearing puzzle game where every line you clear adds to a permanent Career Lines total, which unlocks brand new ambient tracks across the ASMR, PIANO and CHILL categories. Every 20 Career Lines earns a 💣 BOMB charge and kicks off a 60-second Bonus Round at 2x score, while your Level - and the falling speed - climbs every 10 lines. Fully themeable, autosaving, and playable with either keyboard or on-screen mobile controls.

🎨 CANVAS (Draw) — Paint with four distinct BRUSH FEELs — soft watercolor, tapered INK, grainy CHALK or glowing NEON — or pick a COLORING PAGE (mandala, flower, butterfly and more) and stay neatly inside the lines. The ✨ BRING THE PICTURE TO LIFE tool lets you mark parts of your drawing and set them in motion with FLAP, SWAY, SPIN, BOB, PULSE, FADE, DRIFT or TWINKLE. A soft five-note ambient tone follows your brush as you draw, and you can UNDO, ANIMATE your drawing back stroke by stroke, or export it as a WEBM video or PNG image.

🌌 RELAX CANVAS (Night Sky) — An interactive ambient instrument set against a living night sky. Layer BINAURAL waves (Delta, Theta, Alpha), a NATURE/cricket loop, and a tap-to-play generative synth, then build full tracks in the 32-step SEQUENCER with independent KICK and MELODY layers. A deep sound design panel covers scales, oscillators, filter, decay, reverb, delay and drive, each with its own toggle. Set a SLEEP TIMER, hit REC to export a WAV recording, and watch the sky itself shift through real dawn, day, dusk and night in sync with your clock, complete with accurate moon phases, shooting stars, satellites and real constellations.

However you like to unwind — listening, playing, drawing or building your own soundscape — it's all connected, and it all lives in one place.

The Relax Player now has a 📁 MY FILES panel where you can upload your own audio files straight from your device — they're stored securely on your device and never uploaded anywhere. From there you can play a file on its own, or build named playlists that freely mix your own tracks together with SYNTHLUCIDA tracks in any order you like.

Your own files also work with the ♥ MY PLAYLIST you already know: tap the heart on one of your uploaded tracks to add it right alongside your favorite SYNTHLUCIDA tracks, so a single MY PLAYLIST run can blend your own audio with the SYNTHLUCIDA catalog, complete with shuffle, repeat, and crossfade.

Also fixed: a track you'd added to MY PLAYLIST from your own uploaded file could fail to play and get skipped after closing and reopening the app — it now reliably picks up right where you left it. The SAVE button in the breathing exercise section could also get stuck glowing or stuck showing "SAVED!" — it now always resets properly after saving.

Finding the latest additions to the Relax Player is now easier than ever. We've added a new highlight feature for fresh tracks. Whenever a new track is added, its section will be marked with a glowing yellow dot, and the track itself will feature a "NEW" tag. This tag will remain visible for 30 days, so you'll never miss out on any new releases.

Building MY PLAYLIST is now even quicker: every track in the main playlist has a new ♥ right next to its OFFLINE status. Tap it to add that track to MY PLAYLIST straight away, tap it again to remove it — no need to go through HISTORY first, though that route still works exactly as before. Liked tracks stay marked with a filled ♥ even after closing and reopening the player.

MY PLAYLIST also gained proper backup tools. Alongside the existing plain-text export, a new 💾 EXPORT PLAYLIST saves your list as a file that can be loaded back in later, and 📂 IMPORT PLAYLIST does exactly that — restoring a previously saved playlist, or merging it into your current one.

The SUN option under WEATHER now cycles slowly through three different sunset photos instead of just one, gently crossfading from one to the next so the scene never feels static.

The old glowing sun disc and its rotating rays have been removed, keeping the scene closer to the photos themselves and less busy. In their place, a much bigger and more varied flock of birds now drifts across the sky — different sizes, with smaller, more distant birds moving faster than the larger, closer ones — over all three photos.

Tracks no longer have to end abruptly. A new CROSSFADE control lets you choose 3, 6, 8, or 10 seconds of smooth blending between the end of one track and the start of the next, or turn it off entirely for a hard cut. It plays nicely with both shuffle and repeat, so the transition always leads into the track you'd expect.

There's also a new 🕘 HISTORY panel that keeps track of the last tracks you've listened to, across every playlist, along with when you played them. Tap a track name to jump straight back into it, or clear the whole list whenever you'd like a fresh start.

And now you can build something of your own: hit the + next to any track in HISTORY to send it to 🎵 MY PLAYLIST, reorder the list with ▲▼, remove anything with ✕, then press PLAY to listen through it in exactly the order you put it together — shuffle, repeat, and crossfade all still work right alongside it.

The Relax Player now integrates with your device's lock screen and notification media controls — play, pause, skip to the next or previous track, and scrub through the current one, all without unlocking your phone or switching back to the browser tab. The current track's title and artwork now show up right there too.

On desktop, playback can also be controlled entirely from the keyboard: Space toggles play/pause, the left and right arrows jump back or forward 10 seconds, and the up/down arrows adjust the volume.

Playback is a bit smarter as well. If a track fails to load — a dead link or a brief network hiccup — the player now automatically skips to the next one instead of silently stalling with no sound. And the last track you were listening to, along with its exact position, is remembered between visits, so pressing play picks up right where you left off.

A few days ago a limiter (DynamicsCompressor) was added to stop digital clipping when several sound layers stack up past 0dBFS — that part was already working fine. But some phones, notably the Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G, kept crackling occasionally even after that fix, while the same session ran clean on a PC or a Motorola. It turned out to be a completely different issue: a buffer underrun, where the phone's audio thread can't recompute the next block of samples in time, leaving an audible gap or click. A limiter can't fix that, since it's a performance problem, not a loudness one — and HyperOS/MIUI is known for handling background audio scheduling less consistently than closer-to-stock Android, even on a chip that's stronger on paper.

Two real sources of unnecessary load were found in the code. The reverb (convolution) was running constantly even when switched off — every note and kick was still being sent through a 3.5-second convolution impulse regardless of the toggle, with the volume only zeroed out afterward. And the AudioContext wasn't given a latency hint, so the browser defaulted to the smallest, most sensitive buffer size, leaving almost no room for one slow frame before it became audible.

What changed: the AudioContext now requests a "playback" latency hint for a larger internal buffer and much more headroom against the odd slow frame (latency goes up slightly, imperceptible on ambient pads); reverb is only routed into the mix when it's actually turned on, so switching it off now truly costs nothing; and the reverb's impulse response has been shortened from 3.5s to 2.5s — still a long, lush tail, just a bit lighter to compute when reverb is on.

The drawing Canvas just got a lot more relaxing. You can now pick a BRUSH FEEL — SOFT for a gentle watercolor wash, INK for a tapered brush-pen stroke, CHALK for a dry pastel texture, or the original glowing NEON — alongside a new set of COLORING PAGE outlines (mandala, flower, butterfly and more) that you can simply paint inside like a real coloring book. Bring To Life also has new gentle motions — PULSE, FADE, DRIFT, and TWINKLE — for softer, breathing animations. And for the first time, Canvas plays quiet ambient tones as you draw, always tuned to a calming five-note scale so they never sound off. Rounding it off, a new calm ZEN theme has joined the background options.

Switching between ASMR, PIANO, and CHILL playlists no longer starts playback automatically, so you can browse freely without interrupting what's already playing. Your last selected playlist is now also remembered automatically, so it's still there when you come back from the Game or Relax sections.

New content has been added to the CHILL and GAME sections. New scales, chord support, and additional arpeggiator features have been added to the RELAX Settings and Synth sections, along with other minor display optimizations.

RELAX PLAYER has been optimized for mobile devices and should now work smoothly on all devices.

A fresh batch of new tracks and sounds for maximum chillout has been added to the Relax Player. The relax section also received several new useful features. In addition to the music, the built-in mini-game has been thoroughly optimized and now runs smoothly on most devices.
