How to use SYNTHLUCIDA RELAX
SYNTHLUCIDA RELAX is an interactive ambient canvas designed for your relaxation and creative flow. Here is a complete guide on how to get the most out of the application:
BINAURAL WAVES (BINAURAL): Switch between Delta (2Hz for deep sleep), Theta (5Hz for meditation), or Alpha (9Hz for relaxation) frequencies. These waves synchronize brain hemispheres. (Headphones are required for the correct effect!)
NATURE SOUNDS (NATURE): Activate a smooth, relaxing night nature and cricket loop that beautifully underscores your musical experience.
TAP SYNTHESIZER (TAP SYNTH): Click or tap anywhere on the night sky. This triggers a generative synthesizer tone. The higher up on the screen you click, the higher the pitch. Additionally, a visual star cluster appears around the touch point.
SEQUENCER (KICK & MELODY): Open the 🎛 panel. Design a sound in the panel below, then hit + ADD SOUND to turn it into its own 32-step track. Design another sound and add it too — each track keeps its own timbre, and they all play together, so you can layer multiple different sounds into one track. Each track can be muted (MUTE) or removed (✕). KICK SEQ adds a separate rhythmic kick drum. Use the PLAY button to start, and the BPM slider to set the speed.
How to program a melody into a track: The sequencer remembers the exact tone you last played. First, tap anywhere on the night sky to play and "grab" a specific tone. Then click a square in that track's grid to lock that exact tone into that step. To place a different tone in another step (even in the same track), tap a new spot in the sky first, then click the target square.
SOUND DESIGN (PANEL 🎛): As a creator, you can go wild here. Change musical scales (Scale), oscillator wave shapes (OSC1/OSC2), adjust filter, decay, reverb (space), echo (delay), or add saturation (Drive). Reverb, delay (SYNC DEL.) and echo each have their own independent ON/OFF button right next to the slider, so you can instantly cut that effect without losing the level you dialed in — turning one off never affects the other sounds or effects still playing. Use the SAVE button to save your preset to your browser.
SLEEP TIMER (TIMER): Set an automatic shutdown for 15, 30, or 60 minutes. Once the countdown ends, all sounds will gently turn off automatically so you can sleep in peace.
RECORDING (REC 🔴): Want to save your jam? Click REC to start recording. After clicking STOP again, the session will automatically download to your device as a high-quality .wav file.
Kick Drum: Click the squares in the KICK SEQ grid to build your rhythm. Adjust the BPM slider to set your global tempo.
SAVE: Saves your current sequencer patterns and all sound design parameters to your browser so you can pick up exactly where you left off.
Preset: A dropdown menu that lets you switch between the factory 'Default' state and your saved 'User' patch.
Reset: Removes all sequencer tracks, resets all synth parameters to their default state, and clears the looper buffer to give you a completely blank canvas.
LIVE DAY/NIGHT SKY: The sky is synced to your device's real clock, cycling gently through night, dawn, day and dusk as time actually passes — the horizon glow, star brightness and moon all shift along with it. This uses only your local clock time, never your location: no GPS, no permission prompt, and nothing is sent anywhere.
MOON: The moon is rendered from a real photograph and its lit/dark phase updates automatically to match today's actual lunar phase.
NIGHT SKY DETAILS: Beyond the stars themselves, keep an eye out for the small extra touches: gentle random twinkling and occasional brighter flares, shooting stars that streak across every so often, satellites drifting slowly overhead, and a handful of real constellations (including the Big Dipper, Cassiopeia and Orion) woven into the starfield.
