PRIVACY POLICY

• No registration, login, email address, or personal details are required to stream music, use themes, or use the timer/relaxation features.
• We do not sell, rent, or share any data with advertisers. There are no ad trackers or advertising SDKs in this app.
• All music available in the app is either original work by the developer or properly licensed for distribution.

To remember your preferences between visits, the app uses your browser's local storage (localStorage) and, for larger items, IndexedDB. This data stays on your device — it is not transmitted to us or to any server. It includes things like:

• Your chosen theme, volume level, and other display settings.
• Whether reminder notifications and the "keep screen awake" option are enabled.
• Custom background photos you add yourself, and their display order.
• Local audio files or playlists you add from your own device.
• The audio itself may be cached by your browser (via the Cache API / service worker) so the app can keep playing smoothly and, where supported, offline.

You can clear all of this at any time by clearing your browser's site data/storage for SYNTHLUCIDA, or by uninstalling the app if you added it to your home screen.

The app includes an optional community chat where listeners can post short messages (up to 60 characters) and react with emoji. This feature is powered by Google Firebase Realtime Database, a third-party service. If you use it:

• The text of your message and a timestamp are sent to and stored on Firebase's servers, and are visible to everyone using the app at that time — please don't include personal information in a chat message.
• No name, nickname, account, or persistent user ID is attached to your messages — you post anonymously. A temporary, random presence marker is used only to show a live "listeners online" style count and is removed automatically when you close the tab.
• As with any request sent over the internet, your device's IP address is processed by Firebase/Google as the network operator of that service, in line with Google's own privacy policy. We do not access or store your IP address ourselves.
• Chat messages are shown for a limited time (the app currently displays roughly the last 14 days of messages) and are not intended to be a permanent public record, though we cannot guarantee messages are instantly and permanently deleted from Firebase's infrastructure.
• A simple word filter and a one-message-per-minute limit are applied to reduce spam and abuse; this check happens locally before a message is sent.
• Site administration (posting official announcements) requires a separate login using Firebase Authentication. This login is for the app developer only — it is not available to regular users and does not affect how listener data is handled.

You can use the entire app, including music playback, without ever opening or using the chat.

• If you turn on reminders, your browser will ask for notification permission. This is handled entirely by your browser/device — nothing about this feature is sent to any server.
• The same setting also controls whether other listeners' chat reactions animate on your screen; this only affects what you see locally and does not send any additional data anywhere.
• You can disable notifications at any time from the Reminders panel in the app, or through your browser's own notification settings.

• The app uses a free, key-free counting service (CountAPI) to keep a running total and a daily total of page loads. This is a basic hit counter, not behavioral analytics, advertising tracking, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking.
• No cookies, user identifiers, or personal data are attached to this count. It only tells us roughly how many times the page has loaded, not who loaded it.
• The counter numbers are hidden by default and only shown if you deliberately reveal them via a hidden panel in the app.

• The app links out to external platforms such as Bandcamp, Supraphon, AudioJungle, Pond5, and a WhatsApp community group. Clicking these takes you off SYNTHLUCIDA to that platform's own website or app.
• Once you leave SYNTHLUCIDA, that platform's own privacy policy and terms apply — we do not control and are not responsible for their data practices.

• This app is not designed to collect personal data from children. Because the community chat is public and anonymous, please supervise younger users if they use that feature, and never share personal information in a chat message.

• You can use the app without chat or notifications enabled.
• You can clear locally stored data (settings, cached audio, custom photos) via your browser at any time.
