A free shedding card game — first to empty your hand wins. Watch out for the rain.
Night Rain is played with a 40-card deck — four suits (Moon, Star, Flame, Drop), each numbered 1 to 10. The goal is simple: be the first to play every card out of your hand. Five values carry a special effect, and two of them are drawn straight from the tarot’s Major Arcana.
On your turn, play a card from your hand that shares either the suit OR the number with the top card of the discard pile. For example, if a Drop 6 is on top, you can play any Drop, or any 6. Nothing fits? Draw one card from the deck and your turn passes to your opponent — you keep the drawn card for your next turn.
Playing a 1 covers the table in an Eclipse: your opponent’s next turn is skipped entirely and play returns straight to you, as if you played twice in a row.
A 4 is The Tower from the Major Arcana — a sudden upheaval that changes the shape of the game. The moment you play it, your hand and your opponent’s hand are swapped completely. If The Tower happens to be the very last card in your hand, you win immediately and the swap never happens.
A 5 is the Wheel of Fortune. Once it’s played, fate flips a coin: there’s a fifty-fifty chance you go again, and an equal chance play passes to your opponent as usual. You never know which way the wheel will turn.
Playing a 7 sends the Downpour to your opponent: they must draw two cards and lose their turn — unless they play a 7 of their own, which sends it right back and adds two more cards on top.
A 10 is a Full Moon — the only card that can be played on anything, regardless of suit or number. After playing it, you choose which suit is active next.
The first player to run out of cards in hand wins the round. Tap NEW GAME any time to shuffle and start over.

Night Rain (Noční liják) is an original card game, built for anyone who enjoys quick, tactical shedding games — the kind of family card game played across many countries under many different names. Night Rain has that same easy-to-learn, hard-to-put-down spirit, with its own four-suit deck and its own set of special cards, two of which — The Tower and Wheel of Fortune — are drawn directly from the tarot’s Major Arcana.

Night Rain supports two modes: play solo against a computer opponent, or switch to two-player mode and play against a friend on the same device, passing it back and forth after each turn.
Night Rain has five special values. A 7 is a Downpour that makes the next player draw two, a 1 is an Eclipse that skips a turn, a 10 is a Full Moon wild card that lets you choose the next suit, a 4 is The Tower from the tarot’s Major Arcana, which swaps both players’ hands, and a 5 is the Wheel of Fortune, which lets chance decide who plays next.
Yes. The Tower and Wheel of Fortune are cards from the classic tarot’s Major Arcana, reimagined as game mechanics in Night Rain — The Tower as a sudden upheaval that swaps both hands, and the Wheel of Fortune as a moment when fate decides who plays next.
Night Rain is offered as a free, light-hearted diversion — there is no real-money play involved and no data is required to play.
